Banyans Beach
The beach is literally 20 feet from the front door. Tide pools to explore, world-class surfing below, and some of Kona's best reef life — turtles, yellow tang, parrotfish, and the occasional monk seal.

Unit 300 sits right next to the surf, a short drive from Hulihe'e Palace and old Kailua town, and one good evening from never wanting to leave. The whole place faces due west: open ocean off the wrap-around lanai, surfers and outrigger canoes below, turtles and the occasional whale beyond the reef.

morning you decide whether to head out for coffee, or stay on the lanai with the Keurig
brew.

The building
Three-story stucco walkup, finished in the early 1980s, right on Banyans Beach. Pool, hot tub, BBQ, covered parking, an elevator that works.

The unit
Two bedrooms (king · king), two baths, a long wrap-around lanai facing west. We bought it in mid-2024, took it down to the studs — new kitchen, baths, AC, and floors — and hung exactly the things we wanted to look at.

Shared grilling area on the grounds for sunset cookouts after a day on the water.
Beach Equipment
Beach wagon, rolling and backpack coolers, beach chairs, toys, pool noodles, and beach towels — all provided. Snorkel gear is available at rental shops along Aliʻi Drive.
Covered Parking
Assigned covered stall under the building, plus a guest spot for a second vehicle. No hunting for a spot.
Aliʻi Drive Location
On Kona's oceanfront "gold coast," a short drive to downtown restaurants and shops, about 20 minutes from KOA airport. Banyan Mart convenience store across the street.
